After obtaining a Biology degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1979, Dr. Jerry Guanciale went on to further pursue his passion for medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class in 1986. Following this accomplishment, Dr. Guanciale moved to Dayton, OH where he completed his rotating internship and General Surgery residency at the Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. While completing his rotations, Dr. Guanciale excelled and was given extensive training in trauma and minimally invasive surgery. Additionally he participated in Pediatric Surgery rotations at the Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, Colorectal Surgery rotations at the Cleveland clinic and Trauma surgery rotations at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his Residency program in 1991 as Chief Resident. In 1992, he became board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
With a very real interest in offering medical attention to under-served areas and an interest in practicing all facets of general, vascular and gynecological, Dr. Guanciale took his practice to some of the most rural parts of Kentucky and South Carolina. His time in these areas afforded him some of the most unique and educational experiences of his career.
Looking to expand his training and abilities, in 2007 Dr. Guanciale was accepted to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery fellowship program with the Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgical Group in Beverly Hills, California. With this opportunity, Dr. Guanciale was provided specialized training in all facets of general and dermatological cosmetic procedures with an emphasis on patient care and cutting-edge technologies by some of the most respected and reputable members of the cosmetic surgery community in Southern California.
Dr Guanciale has spent the last several years dealing with medical weight loss including the successful use of Prescription HCG in weight loss management. He has not only studied the effects of HCG in a weight loss atmosphere but he has witnessed the life changing success of it actions when used properly in a weight loss program.
